G20 SPECIAL
Brazil’s Ministry of Development publishes G20 countries’ trade and services data
G20 countries, representing 87% of global Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and 80% of the world's population, have a robust flow of goods and services adding up to $22 trillion, with 70% of this trade occurring within the group.
In-depth analysis of this complex and interconnected trade landscape, currently under Brazil’s leadership, is available on the Especial G20 page. Managed by the Ministry of Development, Industry, Trade, and Services’ (Secretaria de Comércio Exterior do Ministério do Desenvolvimento, Indústria, Comércio e Serviços/MDIC) Secretariat of Foreign Trade, this resource is also accessible through the ComexVis tool.
The section identifies the key traded products among G20 members, including automotive vehicles, electronics, and industrial machinery in manufacturing; cereals, meat, and fruits in agriculture; and commodities such as oil, natural gas, minerals, and metals.
Service trade is primarily focused on "other business services,” which encompass a range of activities such as research and development, consulting, engineering, and architecture. Significant sectors also include financial services, information technology, transportation, tourism, and insurance.
Brazil maintains substantial trade ties with G20 countries, accounting for 77% of its goods exports and 84% of its imports. Similarly, in the services sector, Brazil exports 78% of its services to and imports 84% from G20 countries.
The MDIC webpage is designed to present crucial trade data in an intuitive manner, utilizing responsive graphics to emphasize key information such as:
