Secretariat of the Federal Revenue of Brazil and Customs of Russia sign Memorandum of Understanding
On the occasion of the official visit of the President of Brazil to the Russian Federation and in the context of the development of the bilateral Brazil-Russia agenda, the Secretary of the Federal Revenue of Brazil, Jorge Rachid, and the head of the Russian Federal Customs Service (SFA), Vladimir Bulavin, signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the exchange of information on exports between Brazil and Russia.
The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding took place today, June 21, at the Kremlin Palace in Moscow, under the witness of the President of Brazil, Michel Temer, and the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin.
The Memorandum of Understanding strengthens the cooperation and customs integration of the two countries, allowing the exchange of pre-arrival information, which is sent before the goods are received in the territory of the importing country and whose main focus is to notify in advance the transit of merchandise for risk assessment and for the expedited procedures of import customs clearance.
