It is important to remember that we will be attending a meeting in the Xingu Park with various indigenous peoples, which requires special attention to their health. We ask you to ensure that your COVID-19 vaccinations are up to date. For your own safety, we also recommend that you are vaccinated against yellow fever.
Piaraçu Village is located in the municipality of São José do Xingu, Mato Grosso, and can be reached via the MT-322 highway. It is 42 km from downtown, 476 km from the municipality of Sinop and 952 km from the state capital, Cuiabá. Most flights to Sinop Airport arrive at night and come from Guarulhos International Airport (São Paulo), Brasília International Airport (Federal District) and Cuiabá International Airport (Mato Grosso).
