President Lula meets with Luisa González

I received Luisa González, presidential candidate of Ecuador, for a conversation this Saturday morning, at her request. We discussed the political context in South America and expressed our mutual agreement on the importance of strengthening democracy and social justice in the continent. I hope that the second round of Ecuador's elections is carried out normally and peacefully, and that the will of the Ecuadorian people prevails.
