Lula discusses bilateral, global agenda in telephone call with Chilean President
On Wednesday, January 29, President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva received a telephone call from Chilean President Gabriel Boric to discuss issues on the bilateral and global agenda.
The two leaders emphasized the importance of advancing Latin American and Caribbean integration in the current context, taking into account the historic challenges of fighting inequality, promoting social inclusion, and fostering sustainable development.
They also discussed preparations for the upcoming leaders' meeting in defense of democracy. As agreed at the event "In Defense of Democracy: Fighting Against Extremism", held on September 24, 2024, on the sidelines of the 79th United Nations General Assembly in New York, Chile will host the next meeting.
President Gabriel Boric also confirmed his state visit to Brazil on April 22 of this year.
