President Lula meets with Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi

Brazil’s President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva received the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan — head of the United Arab Emirates delegation to Brazil as a guest country at the G20 meeting — this Sunday (17).
The meeting was attended by Brazil’s ministers of Foreign Affairs, Mauro Vieira; Chief of Staff, Rui Costa; Finance, Fernando Haddad; Mines and Energy, Alexandre Silveira; and Science, Technology, and Innovation, Luciana Santos. The Director of Monetary Policy at Brazil's Banco Central, Gabriel Galípolo, and the Special Advisor to the President, Celso Amorim, also participated in the meeting.
Among the agreements between the two countries, the Prince and Minister Rui Costa signed a memorandum of understanding for investments by the United Arab Emirates in strategic projects in Brazil in fields such as energy and other forms of infrastructure.
The delegations from Brazil and the UAE also discussed global governance reform and economic cooperation, as well as the expansion of ties between the two countries.
