President Lula and Vietnamese Prime Minister Meet in Rio

On Sunday, November 17, President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva welcomed Prime Minister of Vietnam, Pham Minh Chinh, in Rio de Janeiro. The Vietnamese leader had previously visited Brazil in September of last year and invited President Lula to visit his country in the first half of 2025.
Vietnam will participate as a guest at the G20. The country has seen a growing trade relationship with Brazil, expanding over 16% annually, and has experienced significant economic growth in recent years.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister expressed support, alongside Brazil, for the reform of the UN. Pham Minh Chinh also declared his support for Brazil as a permanent member of the UN Security Council.
