Brazil’s Lula Meets with CEO of UAE Investment Group
On Wednesday morning, November 27, President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva met with Zayed Bin Aweidha, the CEO of Dhabi Investment Group, and Brazilian entrepreneur Mario Garnero. Also present at the meeting were Bruno Moretti, Secretary of Governmental Analysis, and Carlos Ernesto Augustin, Special Advisor at the Ministry of Agriculture.
The President and the CEO discussed the United Arab Emirates’ strategy for development and investment in Brazil, focusing particularly on areas such as the recovery of degraded pastures, industry, mobility, and urban development.
The CEO expressed his recognition and alignment with the Brazilian president's vision on the importance of improving workers' conditions to boost their purchasing power, thus strengthening the consumer market and addressing economic imbalances.
President Lula also mentioned the recent Brazilian mission to the UAE, led by Chief of Staff Minister Rui Costa, aimed at expanding bilateral partnerships. He highlighted COP30, which will be held in Brazil next year. Lula stressed that Brazil offers foreign investors economic, political, and social stability, and thanked the entrepreneur for choosing Brazil as an attractive environment for investment and development.
