Lula and Spanish PM Pedro Sánchez Hold Phone Conversation

President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva received a telephone call from the President of the Government of Spain, Pedro Sánchez, on the morning of Monday, June 3.
The two leaders discussed a range of issues, including Spain’s recognition of the Palestinian State; the importance of peace negotiations between Ukraine and Russia and in Gaza; and Claudia Sheinbaum’s victory in Mexico.
The Brazilian President praised Sánchez for his decision to stay in office and wished him luck in the upcoming European Parliament elections, set for June 6-9.
Lastly, Lula casually congratulated Sánchez on Spain's victory in the UEFA Champions League with Real Madrid.
