Brazil sets USD 108 billion export record from January to April

Brazilian exports over the first four months of the year broke a record, according to April Trade Balance data released on Wednesday (8/5) by the Foreign Trade Secretariat of the Ministry of Development, Industry, Trade and Services (Secex/MDIC).
In April, exports totaled USD 31 billion and imports USD 22 billion, with a positive balance of USD 9.04 billion and a trade flow of USD 52.8 billion.
2024 exports totaled USD 108 billion until April, 5.7% more than in the same period in 2023, when they reached a record USD 103 billion. Imports totaled USD 81.1 billion, up 2.2% over that period. The balance was positive by USD 27.7 billion and total trade flow reached USD 189.9 billion, an increase of 4.2%.
