This Thursday afternoon (14 March), President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, Vice-president Geraldo Alckmin, and Minister Rui Costa (Chief of Staff) met with representatives from the automotive and fuel sectors. During the encounter at the Planalto Palace, they discussed the Brazilian potential for the production of flex hybrid vehicles and the bioelectric car, a technology that combines the use of ethanol and electrification.
“Each time I speak with Alckmin about investment growth, I get happier about the turn that these sectors have taken in our country. Over R$ 117 billion have already been announced by manufacturers until 2028, generating jobs and economic growth. We believe in Brazil and its potential for energy transition. This country has abandoned its past discourse and is investing in the future,” stated Presidente Lula after the meeting in his X profile (former Twitter).
