With the embracement of the New Action Plan for the Brazil-France Strategic Partnership, topics such as financing for ecological and energy transition, bioeconomy, agriculture, public administration, digital technology, artificial intelligence, and the reinforcement of human rights and gender equality will become more prominent on the bilateral agenda.
AMAZON COOPERATION
Brazil and France will revitalise the Franco-Brazilian Centre for Amazonian Biodiversity. The aim is to create a collaborative network of universities and research institutes to coordinate and strengthen scientific and technological cooperation between the two countries, focusing on biodiversity, bioeconomy, health, sustainability, and climate change. The cooperation aims to develop new projects, promote the training and improvement of human resources, and facilitate co-development and technology transfer. It also intends to strengthen scientific and technological production and the development of innovations that meet environmental, economic, and social needs.

CLIMATE AGENDA
Brazil and France are joining forces to act in environmental protection. The countries have launched a joint initiative called "Brazil-France Call for Climate Ambition from Paris to Belém, and beyond", which aims to support policies that limit global warming to 1.5°C. In addition, both demand an increase in financing for a fair and global ecological transition, as well as a reform of the international financial system to better support developing countries.

DEFENSE
Brazil and France have strengthened their strategic partnership in defence, focusing on industrial cooperation and technology transfer. The parties plan annual meetings on military issues and celebrate the progress in the submarine development programme (ProSub). In addition, the countries are committed to strengthening cooperation in cybersecurity and promoting a safe and peaceful cyberspace, following international norms.

REFORM IN GLOBAL GOVERNANCE
Brazil and France emphasise the need to reform global governance structures to reflect the current multipolar reality and face contemporary challenges. While reiterating their commitment to the principles of the United Nations Charter, they support the reform of the international financial architecture and the main UN bodies, working for positive outcomes at the upcoming Future Summit in New York. The two countries seek to expand the UN Security Council, making it more representative and efficient, and limit the use of the veto right.
