Request for Proposals for Official Residence lease
The Embassy of Brazil in Wellington is looking for a long term rental lease agreement for a new official residence to be occupied by the Ambassador of Brazil in New Zealand.
2. If you are interested in providing a proposal, please send a quote to the e-mail “brasemb.wellington@itamaraty.gov.br” or by mail to “Level 13, Maritime Tower – 10 Customhouse Quay, Wellington 6011”, no later than September 15, and consider the following requirements:
a) Region: Wellington, max 10 km from CBD;
b) To be occupied after April 2024;
c) Suitable for up to 4 tenants;
d) Property with around 350m2 and:
- Minimum of 3 bedrooms, with 2 ensuites;
- Minimum of 2 bathrooms;
- 1 Water closet/Guest bathroom;
- Living room;
- Formal dining room, separated from the kitchen;
- Family room;
- Separate kitchen, with all appliances included;
- Laundry, with all appliances included;
- 2 garage parking spaces
- Broadband fibre availability.
e) Owner will have to keep and maintain the garden of the property, including caring of vegetation, pest control and lawn mowing;
f) Owner will have to maintain the roof and exterior of the building in good repair and in a watertight condition;
g) Owner will provide the Certificate of title (Wellington Registry) of the property before signing the lease agreement;
h) Embassy of Brazil will be responsible for paying all utilities charges (electricity, gas, telephone, cable or fibre, internet);
i) Owner will be responsible for all property taxes, including the insurance covering the property;
j) Embassy of Brazil will only be responsible for the insurance of its furniture and contents;
k) The Embassy of Brazil shall have the right to erect a flag pole at the property and to affix its coat of arms to the premises, which, both of them, will be removed at the end of the agreement;
l) Lease agreement with Diplomatic Clause;
m) Lease agreement with Termination Clause at the lessee's convenience, with 90 days advanced writing notice by the Embassy;
n) Long term lease agreement, preferable for 5 to 10 years, with clause of renewal by signed addendum of the contract;
o) Advanced monthly payments.
