Ambassador

　　　　Born in Rio de Janeiro, on 13 December 1959.

　　　　Graduated in Electric Engineering by the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro.

　　　　Joined Brazil’s foreign service in 1986.

　　　　Has served in Washington, Asuncion, La Paz, Tokyo, Baghdad, Amman, and Addis Ababa.

　　　　Was previously Ambassador in Bolivia (2018-2022), in Ethiopia (2015-2018) and non-resident Ambassador to Djibouti and South Sudan. He was also Representative of Brazil to the African Union and to the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA).

　　　　In Brasilia, he has worked in many different units of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the President’s Office for Strategic Affairs and the Federal Senate.

　　　　Ambassador of Brazil in Tokyo since July 2022.
