Visiting Visa (VIVIS)
This type of visa applies to:
- Tourism
- Traffic
- Business (meetings, fairs and corporate events, search for commercial opportunities, signing contracts)
- Non-corporate events (conferences, seminars, congresses, cultural meetings or fairs)
- Artistic or sports activities (stays of up to 90 days)

Student visa (VITEM IV e VITEM I)
This type of visa applies to:
- University graduate
- Postgraduate studies
- Research or scientific cooperation (stays longer than 90 days)

Family Reunion Visa (VITEM XI)
This type of visa applies to those who are:
- Married to a Brazilian
- Married to a foreign citizen who is already the beneficiary of a residence permit in Brazil
- Married to a foreign citizen who is obtaining a temporary visa (VITEM) for Brazil and wishes to travel as a dependent
- Dependent family member of a Brazilian citizen or a foreign permanent resident in Brazil.

- Foreign citizens traveling to Brazil under an employment contract
- Technical assistance
- Technology transfer
- Apprenticeship (professional training exchange program)

This type of visa applies to a foreign citizen who will represent a financial institution or a business group that will carry out direct investment in a company established in Brazilian territory.

Visiting Brazil for Business (VIVIS)
The visitor must apply for visitor visa (VIVIS);
Besides the general requirements, if you are going to attend a business meeting, you must submit a signed invitation letter issued by the host
company. This document must provide detailed information, including:
- Information about the host company: name, CNPJ, business line, phone number, e-mail, website;
- Information about the signing agent: name, CPF, position, phone number, e-mail;
- Business relationship between the host company and the invited (importer, subsidiary etc.);
- Information about the invited agent: name, passport number, position, phone number, e-mail;
- Place and date the meeting shall occur;
- How the trip is being sponsored;
"Working Hours of the Consular Section: The Consular Section is open to the public from Sunday to Wednesday, from 9:00 until 13:00"
