VITEM IX - Investment

For intra-company transfered executives and foreigners investing in a Brazilian company or real estate market.

Eligibility

Foreign citizens that wish to establish temporary residency in Brazil as follows:
- intra-company transferee to represent commercial or civil corporation, group or economic conglomerate as administrator, manager, director or executive with management powers (Normative Resolution No. 11/2017);
- foreigners investing in a Brazilian company (Normative Resolution No. 13/2017);
- foreigners investing in Brazilian real estate market (Normative Resolution No. 36/2018);
Eligible dependents of a VITEM IX visa holder or applicant may apply for a Temporary Visa XI - Family Reunion.

Terms and Conditions

Based on Normative Resolutions No. 11/2017, 13/2017 and 36/2018 of the National Immigration Council.
Approval of residence permit by the Brazilian Ministry of Justice and Public Safety is required, prior to visa application.
Temporary Visas are issued for up to 1 year and the residency period may be up to two years (real estate investments) or indefinite (other cases), to be determined by Brazil's Federal Police upon registration in Brazil (see below).
- Those granted with a residence permit for more than 1 year may continue to enter Brazil throughout their temporary residency period with a valid passport and a Brazilian National Migratory Registry Card - CRNM (previously, National Registry of Foreigners - RNE).
Holders of any Temporary Visa must register with the Federal Police in Brazil within 90 days from first arrival in the country. Applicants will receive a Visa Application Form from the Embassy upon the issuance of the visa, which must be presented for such registration.
It is the responsibility of the sponsor, promoter or employer to make all necessary arrangements related to the contract in Brazil, prior to the lodging of the visa application.

Required Documents

Document	Remarks
Application form	Fill-out the Online Visa Application Form; Click "SEND" to receive your processing number and receipt; Print the receipt; Attach one PASSPORT SIZE color photograph over white background. Snapshots and computer pictures are not accepted; SIGN the receipt and deliver it to the Consular Section together with all other required documents (walk-in basis, no appointment needed).
Prior permit of residence	Previously applied for by the sponsoring company and approved by Brazil's Board for Labour (Ministry of Justice and Public Safety) before the application can submited; Applications will only be processed after the Embassy has received said authorization from the Brazilian authorities.
Proof of immigration status	For non-Singaporeans/PR, original or front and back copy of the applicable pass (EP, S Pass, DP, LTVP, Student Pass, etc.); For permanent residents, original or front and back copy of the NRIC ("blue IC").
Passport	Valid for no less than 6 months (damaged or defaced passports will not be accepted); With at least 2 blank visa pages remaining (exluding those marked for amendments and observations).
Criminal background check	Issued within the past 90 days by the Singapore Police Force (Certificate of Clearance - COC) and for every country the applicant has lived in for the past 12 months; Documents not issued in Singapore must be apostilled by the issuing country's competent authority or certified by the Brazilian Embassy or Consulate in the country of origin.
Birth certificate	Original or clear copy, stating parents' full names, unless the applicant's passport already contains such information.
CPF (Brazilian Individual Taxpayer Registry)	If you already have, please provide it along with the other documents; If not, please click here and follow the instructions to apply for it.

Visa Fee and Processing Time

VITEM IX fee is S$ 150.00.

On a reciprocity basis, distinct visa fees applies for citizens of:

Belgium: free of charge, for stays up to 90 days;
Germany: free of charge;
Italy: free of charge, for stays up to 90 days;
Norway: free of charge, for stays up to 90 days;
Sweden: free of charge, for stays up to 90 days;
United Kingdom: S$ 322.50 (only if duration of stay exceeds 180 days, otherwise standart fee applies);
USA: S$ 435.00.

Payment must be made through one of the following options:

PayNow transfer to PayNow ID (UEN) S68DP0048C or by scanning the QR code below:
FAST transfer or cash deposit at United Overseas Bank (UOB), account number: 339332338-6 - Embassy of Brazil;
Please input applicant's name or application number in the "reference" or "comment" field when using PayNow or FAST transfers;
In case of multiple applications, a single payment can be made for the total ammount.

Visas are processed in 24 hours, with collection on the next working day.

Please note that processing time may be extended in times of heavy workload or due to unforeseen circumstances.

Remarks

Please note that issuing or denying a visa is a sovereign act of Governments. It is a prerogative applied by every country and strengthened by international practice.
The requirements are not all-inclusive. When processing a visa submission, the Embassy may request additional information/documentation. All required supporting documentation must be issued in Singapore or be easily verifiable by the Consular Section.
The Embassy accepts visa submissions by the applicant in person or by a third party, acting on his/her behalf, or a travel/visa agency in Singapore. The Embassy cannot and will not recommend any such firm.
A visa shall be denied to any foreign citizen who, when submitting his/her application, behaves in an aggressive, insulting or disrespectful way.
