Eligibility
- Authorities, government staff and employees representing foreign governments or international organizations travelling to Brazil on offical missions;
- Dependants of Diplomatic / Official Visas holders, on a reciprocity basis:
- Spouse and partner;
- Child or stepchild, unmarried and under the age of 21 years old;
- Child or stepchild, unmarried and between 21 and 24 years old that, at the the time of first entry in Brazil, is enrolled in an University course;
- Ecnomically dependant parents;

- Representatives of international organizations are required to hold a diplomatic or official visa on official missions to Brazil, regardless of nationality.
Terms and Conditions
- Based on Ordnance No. 20/2018.
- Applications for Diplomatic or Official visas must be made through Diplomatic Note, issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Diplomatic Mission or International Organization (see below).
- Accredited officials holding a Diplomatic or Official Visa on missions longer than 90 days must register with the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE) within 90 days from first arrival in the country. Applicants will receive a Visa Application Form from the Embassy upon the issuance of the visa, which must be presented for such registration.
- Foreigners exempted from Diplomatic and Official visas and accredited by the Brazilian government or on missions longer than 90 days must also register with the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE) within 90 days from first arrival in the country.

Visa Fee and Processing Time
- Diplomatic and Official Visas are free of charge.
- Visas are processed in 24 hours, with collection on the next working day.
- Please note that processing time may be extended in times of heavy workload or due to unforeseen circumstances.
Remarks
- Please note that issuing or denying a visa is a sovereign act of Governments. It is a prerogative applied by every country and strengthened by international practice.
- The requirements are not all-inclusive. When processing a visa submission, the Embassy may request additional information/documentation. All required supporting documentation must be issued in Singapore or be easily verifiable by the Consular Section.
- The Embassy accepts visa submissions by the applicant in person or by a third party, acting on his/her behalf, or a travel/visa agency in Singapore. The Embassy cannot and will not recommend any such firm.
- A visa shall be denied to any foreign citizen who, when submitting his/her application, behaves in an aggressive, insulting or disrespectful way.
