VIVIS - Visitor Visa
Visitor Visa eligibility for persons travelling to Brazil:
a) as tourists, for leisure, or visiting friends or relatives;
b) as attendees and/or unpaid speakers, except daily allowances for the latter, in conferences and seminars. An invitation letter from the sponsoring organization in Brazil is required;
c) unpaid participation in athletic or artistic event or competition. An invitation letter from the sponsoring organization in Brazil is required.
d) for transit, if the traveller has to leave the international transit area for luggage or a boarding pass and/or will stay more than 8 hours at the airport.
Instructions:
- Go to the website https://formulario-mre.serpro.gov.br
- Click “Visa Request”
- Fill out the form as accurately and completely as possible
- Click “Submit” to receive your application number and receipt
- Print the Visa Form Delivery Receipt (Recibo de Entrega de Requerimento)
- Attach one photo, according to the photo requirements as described in the website
- Sign the receipt in the square at the top of the form
- Either photocopy the receipt or write down the application number (protocolo número) and keep in a safe place (can be used to check at which stage of processing your application is at; see Processing Time
- Send the duly completed and signed receipt to the Embassy of Brazil together with the required documentation (below);
Documents:
- A Passport, valid for at least 6 (six) months;
- Photocopy of round trip ticket to Brazil or ticket in transit, with flight numbers, dates and itinerary, if possible.
- 3. Proof of financial ability to support your stay in Brazil. This may be presented in the form of bank statements (last 3 months), credit card statements (last 3 months), or other documents that verify financial means of support. The Embassy will not accept letters from family members or friends that promise financial support;
- If you are living (not like a tourist) in Trinidad and Tobago or Aruba or Curaçao or St. Maarten, proof about your status in that country. (*)
(*) Complementary documents proving your connection with that country can be requested.
- Whenever applicable (i.e., for participants in athletic competitions or performing arts events), copy of letter from sponsor/organizer with detailed information about the event as well as conditions of attendance;
- Consular Fees:
=> US$ 80.00 (Eighty US dollars).
- If you are sending the payment/transfer from outside Trinidad, please include the bank charges of US$ 18.50 (eighteen US dollars and fifty cents) and make sure with your Bank that there will be NO intermediate Bank debits or extra fees and the correct amount (US$ 98.50) will be credited in the Brazilian Embassy account.
- If you are sending just one transfer with the total amount for more than one person, you will have to pay just one bank transfer fee.
- Send a bank order of credit or make a deposit in cash of the total amount to the consular account no. 2372622 in name of the Embassy of the Federative Republic of Brazil with the First Citizens Bank, address #9 Queens Park Savannah – Port of Spain – Trinidad and Tobago, SWIFT code FCTTTTPS.
Notes:
=> This Embassy can ask others documents if understand necessary.
=> If the documentation is not in accordance with the instructions, the request will be returned without being processed.
=> If you send the documentation by mail, please be sure to include a self-addressed and prepaid air waybill for our remittance of your passport by the same courier.
