The Embassy of Brazil in Port of Spain represents Brazil to the governments of Trinidad and Tobago and Grenada.
Located on Sweet Briar Road in Port of Spain, the Embassy, which opened in 1965, is the oldest Brazilian diplomatic mission in the English-speaking Caribbean. It was established three years after Trinidad and Tobago gained independence.
The establishment of the Embassy in Trinidad and Tobago marked a deepening of bilateral relations, building on the presence of a Brazilian Vice-Consulate in Port of Spain since 1942, which had been responsible for commercial affairs, visas, and assistance to Brazilians.
