ASSIGNMENT OF AN INDIVIDUAL TAX NUMBER (CPF) FOR FOREIGNERS.
To obtain a CPF number, you must fill out an online application on the website of the Brazilian Federal Revenue Service, available at the link:

The fields “Voter number” and “Departure date” do not need to be filled in; they must be left blank. Your browser's pop-up blocker must be disabled, otherwise you will not be able to submit the survey. After clicking the “send” button, a form (FCPF) with an individual registration number will be generated. It must be printed, signed and brought on the day of your appointment.
SUBMISSION OF DOCUMENTS TO THE CONSULAR SECTION. The applicant must submit documents in person to the Consular Section.
List of required documents:
1. Form (FCPF);
2. Original and copy of a foreign passport;
3. Original and copy of birth certificate (required for persons under 18 years of age);
If the applicant is an incapacitated or partially capable citizen, it is necessary to provide a document confirming kinship (birth certificate), guardianship or trusteeship.
If the applicant is under 18 years of age: birth certificate of the minor and identification document of parents or guardians. Reception is by appointment: https://ec-astana.itamaraty.gov.br
CANCELLATION AND CHANGE OF PERSONAL DATA OF AN INDIVIDUAL TAX NUMBER
If errors are detected in the entered personal data, the interested person has the right to make the necessary corrections free of charge within 90 days. After the expiration of the specified period, such a request will not be considered as a correction, but as a change of personal data, which can only be carried out by the Federal Revenue Service in Brazil.
Cancellation and change of personal data of an individual tax number (CPF) (with the exception of correction of data, which can be carried out within 90 days after assignment of an individual tax number), as well as other procedures related to the provision of an incomplete set of required documents, are not yet available for execution directly at Brazilian consulates and embassies.
