Who needs a visa
1) I am an Indian Citizen
Indian citizens are required to obtain a visa before traveling to Brazil. A yellow fever certificate is not required for entry into Brazil, however proof of vaccination will be required by Indian health officials upon returning to India.
Holders of diplomatic or official Indian passports are exempt from visas for stays of up to 90 days. For longer stays and accreditation, a visa is required. The application for these visas can be submitted in India or in Brazil.
2) I am a Brazilian Citizen or a Dual Citizen of Brazil and Another Country
Brazilian citizens do not need the permission of the Brazilian government to enter Brazil and, therefore, cannot apply for visas to Brazil. This apply even if the Brazilian citizen is also a national of another country. Brazilians/dual citizens must enter Brazil using their Brazilian passports.
3) I am a Citizen of Another Country
If you are going to visit Brazil on tourism, business or on an official or diplomatic mission, please click here (information in Portuguese and English) to find out if you need a visa.
If you are exempt, please be sure that your passport is valid for more than 6 months, and check if you need present a yellow fever vaccination when you return to your country of origin. All waivers are valid for stays up to 90 days.
Non Indian Citizens will need to present a copy of the Indian Residential Permit for foreign residents and/or a valid or document to return from Brazil to India or to another country.
