ARTIST AND ATHLETE VISA (VITEM XII)

General rules 

• Performing artists and sportspersons, including assistants and technicians, who receive payment from a Brazilian source (even if there is no employment relationship) should apply for this type of visa.

• Approval of work contract by the Brazilian Ministry of Labour is required.

• The sponsor, promoter or employer is responsible for making all necessary arrangements related to the contract in Brazil, prior to the lodging of the visa application.

Length of stay in Brazil 

First granted period: up to 90 days.

Can be extended further for 90 days.

Those willing to extend their stay should apply for extension at the Brazilian Federal Police.
