VISA APPLICATIONS
VISA APPLICATION STEP-BY-STEP
IMPORTANT
If you are in Maharashtra, Goa or Karnataka, you may also apply for a visa with the General-Consulate of Brazil in Mumbai
Kindly note that some nationalities and visa types require prior approval by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and longer processing time can be expected. Except for foreigners with proven residence in India or Bhutan, the Embassy of Brazil in New Delhi reserves the right to refuse visa applications in cases where it is not possible to verify the authenticity of the presented documents. In that case, please check the list of Brazilian representations abroad.
According to article 164 of DECREE Nº 9,199, OF NOVEMBER 20th, 2017, entry into Brazil is allowed to holders of a valid residence permit (CRNM). In those cases, it will not be necessary to request a Brazilian visa.
If you are not sure you need a visa, please double-check WHO NEEDS A VISA.
