 MESSAGE FROM THE AMBASSADOR

“I am delighted to have arrived in Nairobi to take office as Ambassador of Brazil in Kenya and, concurrently, to Burundi, Rwanda, Uganda and Somalia. I will also act as Permanent Representative of Brazil to UNEP and UN-Habitat.

One of my priorities will be to combine the historical and cultural ties between Brazil and Kenya - and other East African countries - to the expansion and the strengthening of the economic, trade and cooperation agendas, always taking into account the synergies and complementarities between our countries. At the UN, we will strengthen the implementation of the 2030 Agenda and of the Sustainable Development Goals, above all those related to the environment and urban issues.

I reassure Brazilians residing in this region that the Embassy of Brazil will continue to provide you with quality public services and will maintain its standard of excellence.

I am grateful to the government and people of Kenya for the warm and cordial reception that both myself and my wife, Ludmilla, had upon our arrival in this beautiful and captivating country.”
