General Information
The Consular Section is open to the public from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, Monday through Friday (except holidays).
The Embassy of Brazil in Nairobi receives requests from regular passport holders of Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi and Somalia, or other citizens who live in those countries and hold a permanent visa/residence permit.
Brazilian documents presented to the Consular Section, such as the Identity Card (RG), Civil Registry Certificates (Marriage, Birth, etc.), National Driver's License (CNH), military documents, electoral documents, must be original or authenticated (notarized) copies. Simple copies of mandatory documents will not be accepted.
The Consular Section does not provide a translation service.

The Consular Section does not receive cash payments. All payments must be made via M-PESA or through deposit into a bank account, to be informed during the in-person interview at the Consular Sector.
The original bank deposit receipt must be presented to the Consular Section and will constitute part of the application. We advise against using any other form of payment, including online bank transfers.
It is advisable to inform, in the documentation presented to the Consular Section, an email address and contact telephone number.
It is recommended for all Brazilian citizens who attend the Consular Sector to confirm with our staff the status of their Consular Registration, whose general instructions for filling in can be found here.
On average, the maximum estimated time for processing consular services is 10 working days after the date of the appointment.
