Temporary job opening for Support Assistant (Housekeeping)

The Embassy of Brazil in Nairobi has opened a selection process for hiring 1 (one) Support Assistant (Housekeeping), for a temporary period of 3 (three) months, whose contract will be fully governed by Kenyan labor legislation, without ties to the Brazilian Public Administration.

The gross monthly salary will be KES 92.352,00 (ninety two thousand and three hundred and fifty two Kenyan shillings), consisting of including base salary, housing allowance, and meal allowance, subject to mandatory social security and tax deductions as per Kenyan law, for a maximum workload of 45 hours per week.

Candidates for the position covered by this selection process must meet the following requirements:

a) Be at least 18 years old at the time of application;
b) Declare that they do not hold a public office, job, or function in Brazil, do not receive a pension from Brazil, and that the position sought is not a public position under Brazilian law;
c) Be a Kenyan citizen or, in the case of Brazilian or third-country nationals, hold a permanent residence permit in Kenya that allows for paid employment; d) Provide proof of completion of elementary school or a vocational course in general services;
e) For Brazilian candidates, provide proof of compliance with electoral obligations in Brazil;
f) For Brazilian male candidates aged between 18 and 45, provide proof of compliance with military service obligations in Brazil;
g) If possessing more than one nationality, one of which is Brazilian, the candidate must necessarily satisfy all requirements imposed on Brazilians;
h) Be fluent in English; knowledge of Portuguese will be considered an asset but is not mandatory.
