VITEM XI - Family reunion visa
Documents required:
- Visa application form filled online (https://formulario-mre.serpro.gov.br/sci/pages/web/ui/#/servicos-estrangeiros) with passport-sized picture pasted onto it
- Notarized Copy of ID card of the family member who lives in Brazil
- Affidavit (Termo de Responsabilidade e Manutenção), written by the family member who lives in Brazil and notarized by Notary Public in Brazil
- Declaration of Residence, Conviviality and Effective Union - the signatures must be notarized.
- Original Marriage certificate and (1) Photo Copy. If the marriage was celebrated in Brazil, the document must be attested in Brazil. Marriage celebrated in Pakistan must be registered with the Embassy. Proxy Marriage will not be accepted in this visa category
- Original FRC (Family Registration Certificate) attested by Ministry of Foreign Affairs
- Other family members must provide proof of the relationship (Birth Certificate) / FRC (Family Registration Certificate)
- Original and Copy of valid passport on A4-size paper (please, do not cut down to size)
- Police Character Certificate attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
- Affidavit proving of being single attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
- If divorced, divorced deed attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
- Colored Copy of passport of Brazilian family member on A4-size paper
- Original Birth Certificate and (1) Photo Copy attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
- Minor under 18 years of age are required a notarized letter of consent by the parent not traveling with the minor, or by both parents if the minor is traveling alone
- Declaration, notarized by both spouses, under penalty of perjury of law, stating that they are a couple in a factual and legitimate union, and that they are planning to reside in Brazil;(click here for a model)
- Original Bank Deposit Slip – USD 100,00
Proof of economic dependence will be required in specific cases.
All Brazilian documents must be attested by Notary Public in Brazil.
How to apply:
After analyzing the documentation required, which must be sent online to the e-mail of the consular sector (consular.islamabad@itamaraty.gov.br), the applicant will be called for a face-to-face interview at the Brazilian Embassy in Islamabad.
VITEM XI cannot be granted when the caller is already beneficiary of residence permit by family reunion.
The approval of family reunion visa depends on consultation with the Brazilian authorities. This process could take several weeks.
