The Electronic travel authorization - AEV can only be made for Brazilian minors (including dual Brazilian-foreign citizens).
The authorization for travel of minors who only have foreign nationality (they do not have Brazilian nationality) can only be carried out in DVV-Maistraatti.
More information at Rules, Information and Important Notices.
Since 2021, travel authorization for children and adolescents under 16 can also be issued in digital format. The Electronic Travel Authorization (AEV) is available on the e-Notarial platform e-Notariado.
The AEV was regulated by the National Council of Justice (CNJ), through Provision CG nº 38/21, and developed by the Notarial College of Brazil - Federal Council (CNB/CF), in partnership with the Special Secretariat for State Modernization, of the Presidency of the Republic, and with airlines. The initiative also had the support of the National Civil Aviation Agency (Anac) and the National Civil Aviation Secretariat, of the Ministry of Infrastructure.
For the signature of the electronic document, it is essential to carry out a videoconference to confirm the identity of those responsible, the use of the digital signature notarized by the parties and the signature of the Notary Public using the digital certificate.
In addition to the AEV, the format of physical and printed authorization made at a notary will remain available, also carried out by notarization, done in person by the minor's guardians at a Notary's Office.
The process of issuing the Electronic Travel Authorization (AEV) is carried out through the e-Notarial platform, a national digital environment for carrying out notarial acts, where those responsible must open a request through the “citizen” area of the website, filling in the necessary information. .
With the complete application, applicants will be able to choose whether they prefer to issue the digital document in person, at the service desk of the notary office closest to the zip code of residence, or completely remotely, through videoconferencing. For the issuance of the act by videoconference, parents must have an ICP-Brasil standard digital certificate or Notarized Certificate, the latter issued free of charge by Notary Public Offices.
Once issued, the AEV will have validity predetermined by the applicants and can be generated in a printed form or accessed through the website or app (Android or IOS) of the e-Notary.
To facilitate the presentation of the document at the airport, it is recommended that the EVA be presented in printed format (on paper).
