Authorization Requested at DVV-Maistraatti

Questions and specific queries about this service should be sent to the competent body in Brazil (Conselho Nacional de Justiça - CNJ).
- Brazilian minors (including those with foreign dual nationality)
- Foreign minors (solely foreign, with no dual Brazilian nationality)
- Brazilian minors (including those with foreign dual nationality)
In this case, authorization is given both for travel within Brazil and for travel from Brazil destined abroad.
The father and/or mother who does(do) not want/can/do not attend the Embassy can have their signature(s) on the travel authorization form recognized directly at a Finnish Notary Public (DVV- Maistraatti) (own hand in-person signature), according to the following instructions:
1) Complete two copies of the Travel Authorization Form, without abbreviations or erasures, on the computer or in print, with blue or black pen, whichever is smaller (click here to download the document in PDF format)
2) Recognize the signature(s) on the DVV-Maistraatti ("own hand, in-person signature") and then apostille the document ("Apostille"), also on the DVV-Maistraatti, in accordance with the Apostille Convention from The Hague.
ATTENTION:
After the apostille, the form will be considered valid in Brazil and can be presented directly in Brazil, without the need for any additional procedures at the Embassy, in accordance with the regulations of the National Council of Justice and the Hague Apostille Convention.
Important: The form available on this page must be used. Other documents made at Maistraatti (for example, handwritten declarations, third-party forms, international forms, airline forms, etc.) are NOT accepted in Brazil.

In this case, authorization can only be given for travel within Brazil.
Authorization to leave Brazil destined abroad is not required for foreign minors without dual Brazilian nationality.
