TO BE OBSERVED
The issuance of a visa is a discretionary act of the Republic of Brazil. Since this is a purely discretionary act, there can be no guarantees regardless of the circumstances presented. A visa can be granted, denied, extended or changed according to national interests, even if the visa previously has been authorized. A visa is not a right in itself, but an expectation to be admitted. Whenever there is a doubt on the purpose of the trip; the identity of the
applicant; the applicant is aggressive or disrespectful toward the consular officer, the visa can be denied. We also may require an interview and request additional documents and informations.
Although you may submit your application by post service or courier, the Embassy reserves the right to require the applicant to collect her/his passport in person at the Embassy whenever it judges necessary.
