CPF for non-Brazilian citizens (in english)

The CPF is the equivalent of the Irish PPS number.
It is recommended that non-Brazilian citizens who intend to live, study or work in Brazil, have or will have business in Brazil or are married to a Brazilian citizen obtain a CPF number, which is required for several situations in Brazil, such as opening a bank account, making financial operations, buying/selling of properties and other legal matters.
How to request a CPF number, corrections or data update
Fill out the online form click on "submit", then print and sign the generated document:

Select IRLANDA as the country, and click on Ficha.
- Non-Brazilian citizens must not fill out the field "Título de Eleitor";
- The browser's "pop-up" blocker must be disabled; otherwise, it will not be possible to submit the request.;
- Upon clicking submit, a registration form (FCPF) will be generated, containing a service code;
- Minors under the age of 16 must also submit proof of parentage (for example, the foreign birth certificate of the minor) and attend the office accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.
In order to book an appointment follow the instructions below:
- Access our website (https://ec-dublin.itamaraty.gov.br/)
- Create a login and password, and upon entering the system
- On the top right, click on your name > My Services
- From the list, select CPF for non-Brazilian citizens, fill out the required information, and click "enviar" (submit) at the bottom of the page.
- Your request will be analyzed and after that you will be given permission to choose day and time to come to the Embassy
- You must bring all the original requested documents
- Your request will be sent to Receita Federal in Brazil and it can take a minium of two weeks to be processed.
