VIVIS - TOURISM AND BUSINESS VISA
Due to the increased demand for consular services and the difficulties the Embassy of Brazil in Doha is experiencing in analysing all the requests, the processing time for VIVIS applications is subject to lengthy delays. The Embassy strongly recommends that all applicants with non-essential travel plans postpone their plans to a later time. Visa fees won't be refunded even if your visa is not processed in time due to delays.
The visit visa (VIVIS) might be issued to foreigners travelling to Brazil for staying up to 90 days without purposes of immigration or the exercise of paid activity (daily allowances, artistic paychecks, compensation or other travel expenses are allowed). Visit visas can be granted for those travelling for tourism, business, transit, artistic or sports activities, study, volunteer work, or to attend conferences, seminars or meetings, among other purposes - provided there is no remuneration in Brazil and the stay does not exceed 90 days.
To apply for a visit visa (VIVIS), please follow the steps below:
1) Check if you require a visa or benefit from a waiver on the "Entry Visas to Brazil" list. Qatari citizens, for example, currently don't need visit visas.
2) Fill out the visa form with the information required and upload the relevant documents. Find more information regarding the mandatory documents at the end of this page. While filling out the form, please pay attention to the following:
- You must fill out the form using the applicant's full name per the person's passport. In the case of minors, the parent's name must also be entered in full, exactly as displayed on the applicant's birth certificate. Application with the incorrect name might not be granted.
- All documents must be correctly scanned and uploaded. Please use a desktop computer scanner to ensure all parts of the documents are fully visible and can be read correctly. Unreadable or badly scanned documents might cause your visa application to be denied.
- After filling in all the information and uploading the needed documents, click on the "Complete Application" button to generate the Visa Request Form Receipt (RER). Print and sign the RER; affix your photo on the indicated field. If the applicant is under 18 years old, the RER must be signed by both parents.
3) Send the application form and all the documents and visa fee payment receipt through e-mail to consular.doha@itamaraty.gov.br. Information regarding the payment below:
