VITEM XIV - DIGITAL NOMAD VISA – HOW TO APPLY

IMPORTANT: The online form must be filled using the applicant's FULL names as registered in the passport. Applications where the names in the form do not match those in the applicant’s documents will NOT be approved.

“Digital nomad” is the traveler who intends to carry out remote work while residing in a third    country. The visa will be valid for up to one (01) year of residency.

Applicants are only eligible for the Digital Nomad Visa if they have an employment or service contract with a foreign employer. Applicants who either have a work relationship with a Brazilian employer, regardless of the nature of the activity, or whose grounds for a residence permit are under a different legal regime established by the National Council for Immigration (CNIG) are not eligible for the Digital Nomad Visa.

Please read the following information carefully before applying for a visa. Visa fees are not refundable.

The requirements are not all-inclusive. When processing a visa submission, the Embassy may request additional information/documentation. All supporting documentation not originated in Brazil must be authenticated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar (MOFA). Copy of Brazilian supporting documents must be notarized by a Public Notary Office (Cartório) in Brazil.

Remember that a visa to travel to Brazil is NOT A RIGHT, and the Consular Authority reserves the right to request for additional documents or call for an interview, at date and time specified by the Consular Authority.

After processing, if the VISA is APPROVED, an e-mail will be sent with a scheduled date for collection of the visa.

a) Bank slip of the deposit/transfer fee;

b) Visa application form filled out online with the upload of all documents to support the request;

c) Copy of a Passport valid for at least six months from visa application date and with a       minimum of two blank pages;

d) Printed e-ticket to Brazil;

e) copy of Qatari ID (valid at least for 6 months from the trip);

f) health insurance valid in the Brazilian territory;

g) Police Clearance Certificate (by Qatari Authority-CEID and legalized at MOFA);

h) All the following documents, proving the status of digital nomad:

I - declaration by the applicant attesting to the ability to carry out their professional activities remotely, through information and communication technologies;

II – employment or service contract statement or other documents which prove the link with a foreign employer; and

III - proof of means of subsistence, from a foreign paying source, of a monthly amount equal to or greater than US$ 1,500.00 (one thousand five hundred dollars) or availability of bank funds in the minimum amount of US$ 18,000.00 (eighteen thousand dollars).
