RESIDENCE CERTIFICATE
RESIDENCE CERTIFICATE
The residence certificate is a consular document which certifies the time of permanence/residence of citizens abroad.
To request it, it is necessary proof of residency abroad for a continuous period of at least one year.
HOW TO REQUEST:
Send e-mail to consular.doha@itamaraty.gov.br with:
- Form correctly filled (click here);
- Copy of the required documents;
- Payment receipt;
The solicitant will receive an e-mail with date and time for the collection of the certificate.
Required documents for the issuance of the residence certificate
a) Brazilian passport or RNE (Registro Nacional de Estrangeiros – National Registry of Foreigners) identity card;
b) Copy of the passport page which contains the stamp for the first entry in Qatar – please also write the first entry date on the form;
c) Qatari ID (QID); and
d) Documents proving the time of residence abroad, which must contain name and address of the solicitant. These documents can be:
a) income tax receipts; or
b) rent contract; or
c) work contract; or
d) telephone or electricity bill; or
e) bank statement; or
f) credit card bill; or
g) school history certificate; or
h) school declaration; or
i) university or employer declaration, which must be certified by a local notary; or
j) other documents which, in accordance with the local legislation, are capable of proving the residence of the solicitant.
This service is exclusive to Brazilian nationals or foreigners who bear a valid RNE (Registro Nacional de Estrangeiros – National Registry of Foreigners) identity card.
IMPORTANT: The residence certificate can only be collected by the solicitant.
Price:
- QR 66,00 for the emission of the certificate.
Payments must be done by deposit or bank transfer.
