ELECTORAL SERVICES

PENDENCIES
Registration for the 2022 Elections has been closed since May 4. If you have any pendencies with the Electoral Justice, you must do the following:
Any existing fines must be paid through the Tribunal Superior Eleitoral (TSE) website: https://www.tse.jus.br/eleitor/titulo-de-eleitor/quitacao-de-multas
After payment, a new Certificado de Quitação Eleitoral (Certificate of No Electoral Pendencies) may be obtained through the TSE website.
- Cancelled Voting Card - How to Regularize:
You cannot regularize your voting card while the registration period is closed. You must request a Certidão Circunstanciada (Circumstanced Certificate). If you registered to vote in Brazil, you have to contact the TSE Notary Office where you registered. If you transfered your voting card to Doha but your card is cancelled, you must request a Circumstanced Certificate through the link: https://bit.ly/3yex9ja. In case you need to contact the TSE, write to eleitor.exterior@tre-df.jus.br.
- If you have not enlisted on time:
Brazilian citizens who have not enlisted to vote cannot do it while the registration period is closed. you must request a Circumstanced Certificate through the link: https://bit.ly/3yex9ja.
If neither the Certidão de Quitação Eleitoral nor the Certidão Circunstanciada are presented, your passport cannot be renewed. In very special cases, at the discretion of the Consular Section, in which a passport is mandatory, a passport valid for one year may be issued.
VOTE IN TRANSIT
Voters residing outside of Brazil who wish to register to vote in transit (vote in Brazil, outside of their jurisdiction in Doha) may do so until August 18, 2022 at the Consular Section of the Embassy in Doha. To do that, they must fill the formulário de cadastramento correctly and bring a copy of a valid Brazilian identification document, along with the original for conference and the printed form, to the Consular Section. It is mandatory, however, to schedule an appointment through the e-mail address: consular.doha@itamaraty.gov.br
