Tender Invitation - New official residence
The Embassy of Brazil in Tanzania is looking for a property in Dar es Salaam to serve as the official residence for His Excellency, the Ambassador.
2. Listed below are the desired characteristics of the property, as well as some clauses that must be included in the rental contract:
(a) Location: Masaki, Oyster Bay and environs.
(b) type of property: unfurnished or semi-furnished “stand-alone” house, independent grounds, electric fence and similar security features, standby generator on site.
(c) dimensions: between 200 and 400 m² indoors, 200 to 300 m² of outdoor area.
(d) built area (living space): 4 (four) bedrooms, at least 2 (two) ensuite, kitchen, pantry, dining room, living room, at least three bathrooms in total, laundry area, with bathroom for employees, air-conditioning, parking space for two vehicles and guest parking.
(e) minimum lease: 2 (two) years.
(f) maximum monthly rental price: US$ 8000,00.
3. The contract will be signed between the owner or his legal representative and the Brazilian Government represented by the Ambassador in Dar es Salaam. In addition to the usual provisions, the contract must include the following clauses:
(a) Diplomatic clause: exempting the lessee from any contractual fine in the event of suspension or termination of diplomatic relations between Brazil and Tanzania.
(b) Termination clause: exempting the lessee from any contractual fine in the event of the closure of the Embassy of Brazil in Dar es Salaam.
(c) Termination clause providing for immediate termination of the contract at no cost to the lessee in the event of any structural failures or damages occurring in the rental property, preventing or impairing its occupation by the lessee.
(d) the full reimbursement of the security deposit - or its use to pay off unexpired rental periods – at the end of occupation, if there is no damage to the property or its furniture, beyond those caused by natural wear and tear.
4. Companies who wish to present properties under the conditions stipulated in paragraph 2, items (a) to (f), and agree to include in the lease contract the clauses mentioned in paragraph 3, items (a) to (d), are invited to submit proposals no later than 21 of April 2023 to the electronic address brasemb.dar@itamaraty.gov.br and patricia.donmillan@itamaraty.gov.br.
