Administration
The Administration Section is responsible for
- Managing tenders for contracts for the provision of services
- Managing services and utilities contracts for the Embassy's premises and the Ambassador's residence
- Liaising with the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs
- Managing logistical aspects when diplomats and officials are posted to the Embassy from abroad (shipping of household possessions, etc)
- Playing the role of human resources department for diplomats, officials and locally-contracted staff
- Liaising with all Syrian government departments and agencies
- Managing internal and external administrative procedures relating to the recruitment of new members of staff
- Managing insurance matters relating to the Embassy, the Ambassador's residence, and the Embassy's fleet of vehicles.
- Managing logistical aspects of visits to Syrian by Brazilian government officials
- Managing accounts payable to service providers
- Managing the internal computer network and database, and assisting staff in their use
- Managing the Embassy's inventory database
- Managing the Embassy's fleet of vehicles
