Regularization, Data Update, and Cancellation of CPF
Regularization, Data Update, and Cancellation of CPF
In the case of regularization or change of CPF registration data, the request must be made directly to the Receita Federal, by email. Please follow the steps below:
1. Fill out the online form on the Receita Federal website.
Attention: The browser's pop-up blocker must be disabled, otherwise it will not be possible to send the request.
After clicking "send", a registration form (FCPF) will be generated containing a protocol number.
2. Send the request to the email address cpf.residente.exterior@rfb.gov.br, attaching the documents listed below, in PDF or JPEG format (other formats or links to storage clouds are not accepted):
- Individual registration form (FCPF above), duly completed and signed;
- Identification document (passport, national identity card, driver's license or work card, foreign residence document issued by the country in which the person resides, etc.);
- Brazilian birth or marriage certificate;
- For Brazilian citizens over 18 years of age, voter registration number (título de eleitor);
- A "selfie" in which you appear holding your identification document open, close to yor face, for the purpose of confirming your identity.
- For minors under 16: send identification document and "selfie" of the father or mother, holding their own identification document (not that of the minor).
For more information, visit the Receita Federal website.
Comments
It is possible to check whether or not your CPF needs regularization through the Receita Federal website.
If your CPF appears as "suspended", you should request regularization directly through the website (to do so, an address and telephone number in Brazil must be declared).
The regularization of a suspended CPF can also be done by calling +55 11 3003 0146, with a telephone cost for the call to Brazil.
The request to regularize the CPF of deceased people and residents abroad — when they are in Brazil — must be made directly at a Receita Federal service unit.
