Work Visas
STEP 1 - BRAZILIAN EMPLOYER
Applicants seeking to work in Brazil must be sponsored by an employer in Brazil, including when the applicant will travel to Brazil to work for his/her home company corporate headquarters at a Brazilian local office.
Certain requirements must be met by both the Brazilian employer and the applicant. Accordingly, the application process for a work visa is initiated by the Brazilian employer at the Brazilian Ministry of Justice and Public Security.
The Consular Section of the Embassy of Brazil in Copenhagen cannot be contacted by the applicant to assist in this step.
STEP 2 - FOREIGN APLICANT
A work visa can only be requested at the Consular Section of the Embassy of Brazil in Copenhagen when the Brazilian Ministry of Justice and Public Security has authorised the Consular Section of the Embassy of Brazil to issue the visa. To find out whether the authorisation has been granted, the applicant's name must be searched at https://migrante.mj.gov.br/consulta-publica. A result indicating "deferido" means that the authorisation has been given, and the work visa may then be requested, as follows:
