The Trade and Investment Promotion Sector (SECOM) of the Embassy of Brazil in Canberra has the following main responsibilities:
- Provide support to Brazilian exporters interested in the Australian market, facilitating contact with potential importers
- Provide support to Brazilian trade missions in Australia, providing information on the opportunities and challenges of the Australian market
- Assist Australian companies interested in importing Brazilian products and/or investing in Brazil
- Participate in trade fairs to promote Brazilian products
- Disseminate information about commercial and investment opportunities
- Organize commercial and investment events
- Promote Brazil as a tourist destination
The SECOM of the Embassy of Brazil has jurisdiction over the states of Victoria (VIC), Western Australia (WA), South Australia (SA), Tasmania (TAS) and the Australian Capital Territory (ACT).
