THE VISA WAIVER PROGRAM HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO THE 10th OF APRIL 2025.

Passengers who arrive in Brazil before the 10th of April, 2025, will still be exempt from a visit visa.

Citizens from Australia, Canada, and the USA travelling to Brazil for tourism or business can apply online for an electronic visa. With the e-Visa, applicants do not need to attend Brazilian Consulates or Embassies to lodge their application. The e-visa allows for stays up to 90 days and is valid for up to 5 years with multiple entries.

Electronic Visitor Visa (e-Visa) is available for those travelling to Brazil for maximum stays of up to 90 days, without the intention to establish residence, for the purpose of:

Tourism and Transit
Business

Required documents

Photograph 2x2 or equivalent	Must have been issued within the past 12 months. Photograph guidelines
Valid Passport	Your passport must be in good condition in order to be accepted as a valid document.
Round-trip ticket	Present an e-ticket bearing applicant’s name or ticket reservation, that incudes arrival and departure dates from Brazil.
Proof of income	Bank statement showing transactions for the last 30 days and showing at least US$ 2,000.00 for travel
Visa processing fee	The e-visa fee is US$80.90 (US$80.00 for the consular fee + US$0.90 for the service fee for the platform) The fee must be paid inside the e-visa platform with credit/debit card

Remarks

Please note that issuing or denying a visa is a sovereign act of Governments. It is a prerogative applied by every country and strengthened by international practice.
The requirements are not all-inclusive. When processing a visa submission, the Embassy may request additional information/documentation.
A visa shall be denied to any foreign citizen who, when submitting his/her application, behaves in an aggressive, insulting or disrespectful way.

The duration of stay on an e-Visa is limited to 90 days maximum, unless otherwise stated.
- Foreigners holding an e-Visa may not stay more than 180 days per year in Brazil.
Extensions may be issued once the applicant is in Brazil, at the discretion of Brazilian immigration authorities.
