Trade & Investment Promotion Sector (SECOM)
The Trade & Investment Office (SECOM) of the Embassy of Brazil in Cairo provides support to Brazilian exporters interested in selling their products in Egypt. The Office facilitates contact with potential importers, coordinates trade missions and prepares studies on opportunities and challenges regarding the Egyptian market. The SECOM also disseminates information about investment opportunities in Brazil, well as promotes tourism in Brazil.
The SECOM is open from Sunday to Thursday, except on holidays, from 9 am to 3 pm, in the Nile City Towers Building (2005 C, Corniche El Nil Ave. Ramlet Boulak – Cairo- Cairo). Visits must be previously scheduled by e-mail through secom.cairo@itamaraty.gov.br or by phone +20 2 2461-9837 / 40.

Main attributions of the SECOM:
• Obtain and disseminate information about business and investment opportunities in Brazil;
• Support Brazilian companies interested in exporting their products to Egypt;
• Conduct market studies in sectors that present potential for expansion for Brazilian companies;
• Support Brazilian companies that wish to enter into new partnerships in Egyptian territory in accordance with the guidelines of Itamaraty regarding the internationalization of Brazilian companies;
• Support public and private entities in the dissemination of information on and participation in industrial fairs, trade missions and other events related to commercial promotion;
• Disseminate information about business fairs held in Brazil, as well as participate and support Brazilian companies to participate in fairs abroad;
• Provide support to Egyptian companies wishing to invest in Brazil or interested in importing from Brazil;
• Provide and analyze economic and statistical data on the Brazilian and Egyptian market;
• Promote contact between the Egyptian and Brazilian private sectors.
