Visitor Visa (VIVIS)
Hungarian citizens do not need a Visitor visa to Brazil provided that the stay does not exceed 90 days.
Visitor visa applies to citizens of those countries that need a visa to enter Brasil and may be granted to visitors for a short stay of up to 90 days, with possibility of extension for a further 90 days, adding up to a maximum of 180 days in any twelve-month period in Brazil. Those willing to extend their stay should apply for extension at the Brazilian Federal Police.
Visitor visas may be granted to visitors for the following purposes:
1 - Tourism: Sightseeing; informative, cultural, educational or leisure trips; family visits; attending conferences, seminars, congresses (both as a regular attendee or as a speaker); meetings; volunteer work; study, research, teaching and academic extension.
2 – Business: Participation in meetings, fairs and corporate events, visiting prospective clients, buyers or partners, signing contracts, auditing, consulting.
3 – Transit: Holders of passports issued by countries that do not have an exemption visa agreement with Brazil, and when travelling to a third country, which will be their final destination, must stay for a short period of time in Brazil, in transit, without an onward ticket travel. . The visa is not required if the passenger has a confirmed onward ticket to his/her final destination, or when he/she does not leave the international transit restricted area, which has no access to check-in counters, food court, etc.
4 - Artistic or sports activities (visitor visas can also be used for travelers that intend to compete for prizes, including money, sports competitions or artistic or cultural competitions);
5 - Media coverage or film making;
6 - Flight/ ship crew members not holding an international crew card;
7 - Adoption of a Brazilian children;
8 - Health (medical, psychiatric, physical therapeutic) treatment in Brazil for less than 90 days;
9 - People 60 or over 60 years old, permanent resident in Brazil with a CRNM expired: when you're in Brazil, if your CRNM (Carteira de Registro Nacional Migratório – the former RNE card ) expires after you turn 60 years old, you don't have to renew it. However, an expired CRNM doesn't serve
as a substitute for a visa for re-entry into Brazil. Therefore, if your CRNM is expired and you're outside Brazil, you will need a visa to return to Brazil;
10 – Brazilian citizen with double citizenship in exceptional circumstances.
The beneficiary of a visitor visa is prohibited from engaging in paid employment in Brazil. However, he/she is allowed to receive certain forms of payment from the government, from a Brazilian employer or from a private entity, such as reimbursement for travel expenses. If the applicant is going to receive any sort of payment from Brazilian sources, he/she must provide comprehensive paperwork related to intended trip and the Consular authority will verify the applicant´s paperwork in order to stablish if the payment to be received is compatible with the visitor visa.
A visitor visa can be used for different purposes, in the same trip or in different occasions, provided the purposes are covered by the visitor visa rules listed above.
The visitor visa's validity may vary according to the nationality of the applicant, based on reciprocity.
Requirements (applies to citizens ofthose countriesthat need a visa to enter Brasil):
· One Visa Application Form per applicant, completely filled out online at the following link:

Print only the receipt page with the bar code, sign it and glue the picture.
All applicants under 18 years of age must have the Visa Application Form signed by their parents. If parents do not apply for the visa in person, their signatures must be recognized by a Notary Public ;
· Passport with a minimum remaining validity of six months upon the applicant's arrival in Brazil and with at least two adjacent blank visa pages available for the visa stamp;
· One recent 4x5 cm passport-type photograph, front view, white background;
· Round trip ticket: The applicant may submit either a booking confirmation (paid ticket or e-ticket) or a booking reservation (or letter from a travel agent on the applicant´s behalf), containing the complete itinerary, flight numbers and arrival/departure dates.
· Proof of sufficient financial means: Bank and/or credit card statements from the last 3 months at least. The applicant should have approximately US$ 100.00, per day, available to cover expenses. Please bring the original statements.
· A letter by the sponsoring organization from Brazil with detailed information on the event and conditions of attendance when travelers intend to go to Brazil for unpaid participation in athletic or artistic event or unpaid competition in scientific/academic seminar/conference, or when they intend to compete for prizes, including money, in sports or artistic or cultural competitions;
. For business meetings: Letter from the employer or sponsoring company, on their letterhead stationery and signed by a senior manager, which contains the following information:
o Nature of business of the company;
o Applicant's title and/or functions with the company;
o His/her precise nature of business and activities to be conducted in Brazil;
o Responsibility of the company for the applicant during his/her stay in Brazil and for his/her return to the country of origin;
o Name(s) and address(es) of Brazilian company(ies) with which applicant is going to deal/negotiate with;
o Name(s) of person(s) to be contacted in Brazil, phone number(s) and his/her/their functions with the Brazilian company(ies);
o Expected duration of stay during the applicant's immediate trip to Brazil;
. Proof of financial means compatible with the length of stay in Brazil.

For film making of a commercial nature, copy of prior authorization by the Ministry of Culture (Agência Nacional de Cinema);
· For journalistic activities or film making in Indian reserves or environmentally protected areas, copy of prior authorization by the competent government agency;
· For the purpose of adoption of a Brazilian child, appropriate documentation required by law.
· International Immunization Certificate against yellow fever as applicable;
