VITEM XIV - Digital Nomad
The applicant is considered a "digital nomad" if he/she can work for a foreign employer while in Brazil, using information technology to perform his/her duties remotely. If the applicant works for a company in Brazil, this visa cannot be applied for, as there is already a type of visa for employment in Brazil

Valid passport |
Must have at least two blank pages. Please note that pages reserved for amendments cannot be used for visa purposes. |

The photo must be recent (not older than six months), on a white background, in the local standard size (3.5 x 4.5 cm). |

Residence Certificate (Erweiterte Meldebescheinigung) |
The addresses and move-in dates for the last 12 months must be on the certificate. |

Certificate of Conduct of the Federal Office for Justice |
Certificate of Conduct issued by the Federal Office of Justice. Certificates of conduct are valid for up to 3 months from the date of issuance. If the applicant has lived in more than one country within the last 12 months, a Certificate of Conduct from each country of residence must be submitted. If the document was issued in a country other than Germany, the Hague Apostille must be affixed to the document. In countries where The Hague Apostille is not required, the document must be legalized by a Brazilian consulate or embassy. |

Original full birth certificate |
If German, please provide a copy of your birth certificate. If the document was issued in a country other than Germany, it must have the Hague Apostille. In the countries where the Hague Apostille is not applicable, the document must be legalized by a Brazilian consulate / embassy. Note: The purpose of submitting this document is to avoid discrepancies between the information contained in the visa application and the birth certificate itself. Since the birth certificate must be presented during the mandatory registration of the visa with the Federal Police in Brazil (see below), any discrepancy will prevent the completion of this process. Therefore, the presentation of the birth certificate during the visa application phase abroad is not mandatory and will not prevent the visa from being issued, but it is highly recommended in order to avoid possible inconveniences. |

Copy of the round trip ticket |
The applicant must submit a booking confirmation (paid ticket or e-ticket) or a booking reservation (or letter from a travel agent on the applicant's behalf), containing the complete itinerary, flight numbers and arrival / departure dates. |

The insurance must be valid in Brazil for the entirety of the applicant’s stay in Brazil. |

Proof of income

a) Declaration from the foreign employer that the applicant's monthly income is at least US$1,500.00. It must contain the signature and stamp of the foreign employer. If the employer is not German, include notarization and Hague Apostille. b) Bank letter that you have at least US$18,000.00 available. The letter must have signature and stamp of bank. |
Registration with the Federal Police
VITEM XIV holders must register with the Federal Police within 90 days of first entry into Brazil. Contact the Federal Police directly to find out how to register.
The Consular Sector anticipates that the applicant will be required to present to the Federal Police, among other documents, the Visa Application Form (FPV) provided at the time of visa issuance, as well as the original full birth certificate with the full names of the parents.
Documents issued in Germany can be apostilled by various authorities (check here). If the document is legalized, it must be translated into Portuguese by a sworn translator ("tradutor juramentado") in Brazil.
