VITEM VII - Religious activities
This type of Visa is intended for Foreign citizens travelling to Brazil as ministers or members of a religious order. In certain cases requires specific authorisation from the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Nationals of Austria, Chile, Colombia, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Paraguay, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Spain, Suriname, The Netherlands, Trinidad and Tobago, and the United Kingdom are exempt from this visa for stays up to 90 days.
Within 30 days of entry in Brazil, holders of this type of visa must register at the Federal Police (click here) and submit a copy of the visa application form provided by this Consulate.

The form must be filled in online. There is no printable version available for download. Enter complete information – please note that some fields are mandatory. Parents' names must be entered in full (name and surname), exactly as displayed in the applicant's birth certificate. If you have any question about the steps to apply for a visa, Click here Click on the "Complete Application" button to generate the Visa Request Form Receipt (RER). Print and sign the RER; affix your photo on the indicated field. Gather all original documents listed below. They must be uploaded to the E-Consular and then presented during your interview at the Consulate, in addition to the RER |

Must have at least two blank pages. Please note that pages reserved for amendments cannot be used for visa purposes. |

The photo must be recent, against white background, in the local standard specifications (3.5 x 4.5 cm). The foto must be pasted on the Visa application form. |

Certificate of Conduct of the Federal Office for Justice |
Certificate of Conduct emitted by the Federal Office for Justice. Certificate of Conducts are valid for up to 3 months from the date of issue. If the applicant has lived in multiple countries within the last 12 months, a certificate of conduct from each country of residence must be provided. If the document has been issued in a country other than Germany, the Hague apostille has to be applied on it. In the countries where the Hague apostille does not apply it has to be be legalized by a brazilian consulate/embassy. |

Residence Certificate (Erweiterte Meldebescheinigung) |
The adresses and move-in dates of the last 12 months must be on the certificate. If the document has been issued in a country other than Germany, the Hague apostille has to be applied on it. In the countries where the Hague apostille does not apply it has to be be legalized by a brazilian consulate/embassy. |

Notarised term of commitment |
Statement from the institution that the costs of travel and return, as well as living, hospital, medical and repatriation costs for the applicant (and your family if applicable) will be covered. It must be notarized in Brazil. |

In Portuguese, “Ata de Constituição” or “Estatuto Social”. |

Registration with the Federal Police
Holders of this type of visa must register with the Federal Police within 90 days from first entry in Brazil. Contact the Federal Police directly (click here) to learn how to register.
The Consulate anticipates that, among other documents, the applicant will have to present the Visa Application Form (FPV) provided upon issue of the visa, as well as his/her original full birth certificate, containing the parents' full names.
The certificate must be legalised (get an apostille) by the competent authority in the issuing country. Documents issued in Germany get an apostille from different authorities, check here. After being legalised, the document will have to be translated into Portuguese by a sworn translator ("tradutor juramentado") in Brazil.
