Visitor Visa (VIVIS) – General information
Visitor Visas (VIVIS) are aimed at those travelling to Brazil for maximum stays of up to 90 days, without the intention to establish residence, for the purpose of tourism, business, transit, artistic or sports activities, as well as for journalistic coverage, health treatment, study, research, volunteer work and supervised training, provided the intended stay in the country does not exceed 90 days.
Nationals of Serbia and Montenegro, holders of a valid passport, are exempt from Visitor Visa (VIVIS) requirements to enter Brazil, for a period not exceeding 90 (ninety) days.
VIVIS holders are strictly forbidden to hold any employment or paid work in Brazil.

Foreign nationals of countries with which Brazil holds visa exemption agreements benefit from Visitor Visa (VIVIS) waiver.

Before applying
Before applying for the visa, please check the rules regarding travel restrictions to Brazil:
Applying for the Visitor Visa
1) Fill out the online application form and upload the required supporting documents listed below;
2) After the form is concluded, print and sign the RER; attach your photo to the application. ATTENTION: if the applicant is under 18 years old, the RER must be signed by both parents; and
3) Send an e-mail to consular.belgrado@itamaraty.gov.br to schedule an appointment in order to present the original documentation and submit your signed application.
The original documents must be presented by the applicant at the Consular Sector, on the given date and time, in addition to the payment of the consular fee, payable in cash, in American dollars.
The Embassy may request additional information/documentation or a personal interview (at the Embassy or via Skype) with the applicant to complete the assessment of the application.
Supporting documents/requirements
1) Online visa application form;
2) Valid passport (signed, valid for a minimum period of 6 months from the date of entry into Brazil, at least 2 blank pages);
3) Proof of financial capability (including, but not limited to, bank statements of the past three months, signed by the branch manager, with his/her signature attested by a notary public), as well as proof of employment. If the applicant is a student, proof of school or university enrollment and attendance must be provided. If retired, proof of retirement and/or pension payment slip must be presented. Documents issued outside Serbia or Montenegro will have to be previously legalised (get an apostille seal). Photocopies or computer scans of the the documentation will not be accepted;
4) Passport photo (size 5x7cm or 5x7cm only, white background) taken within the last 6 months;
5) Flight tickets (purchased ticket showing entrance into and exit from Brazil) and a detailed itinerary of the whole stay in the country;
6) Consular fees, payable in cash only, in US Dollars, upon delivery of application documents;
7) Personal cover letter with relevant information about the applicant and the intended trip;
8) Proof of stay (hotel reservation);
9) Invitation letter (the signature must be certified by a notary public) and authenticated copy of photo ID of the inviting person. Hard copies of these documents must be presented at the counter;
10) Proof or regular immigration status in Serbia or Montenegro.
Additional documents may be requested according to the purpose of the trip.
Visa processing fee
Visa fees are payable at the Consular Section of the Embassy in cash only, in American dollars (USD), on the day of the visa appointment.
The visa fees listed below are charged per each visa submission in US dollars. If you have multiple citizenships, you will be charged based on the nationality of the passport you have presented.
Application fees are non-refundable. There will be no refund of the fee, regardless of whether the visa is granted or not.

Visa processing time
Average processing time for visa applications is 10 days.
