Authorization for Return to Brazil (ARB)
The Authorization for Return to Brazil (ARB) is a document issued by the consulate sector of Brazilian embassy that allows Brazilian citizens who are abroad without a valid passport to return to Brazil. It is typically issued in cases where a passport has been lost, stolen, or expired, and the individual needs to travel back to Brazil urgently.
To apply for an ARB, you should follow these steps:
| 1. Contact the consular sector of the Brazilian embassy in Beirut: | Provide information about your situation and express your need for an ARB. They will provide you with the necessary instructions and requirements for the application. |
| 2. Gather the required documents: | Prepare the supporting documents required for the ARB application. These may include proof of Brazilian citizenship (such as a birth certificate or previous passport), a police report if your passport was lost or stolen, and any additional documents requested by the embassy or consulate. |
| 3. Fill out the application form: | Complete the application form for the Authorization for Return to Brazil. Provide accurate and detailed information as requested. |
| 4. Schedule an appointment: | Make an appointment with the embassy or consulate to submit your application and supporting documents. Follow their instructions regarding the appointment booking process. |
| 5. Attend the appointment: | On the scheduled date, visit the consular sector and submit your application and supporting documents. Answer any additional questions or provide any further information requested by the embassy or consulate staff. |

Once you receive the ARB, it will serve as a temporary travel document allowing you to return to Brazil. Upon arrival in Brazil, you should contact the Brazilian Federal Police to regularize your situation and obtain a new passport.
It's important to note that the Authorization for Return to Brazil is not a replacement for a passport and should only be used in emergency situations when returning to Brazil is necessary.
