Passport for individuals over 18 years old
Read the instructions carefully and follow all the steps to apply for your passport.
The Consular Section of the Embassy of Brazil in Beirut may request ADDITIONAL documents if deemed necessary.
STEP-BY-STEP |
1st Step: Gather the necessary documentation and fill out the form |
Prepare the following documents before starting your application. Passport applications will not be processed if the documentation is incomplete. |
a. Previous passport (if applicable) |
b. Original and copy of Brazilian documentation · Brazilian birth certificate with digital seal and Brazilian identification card (RG). Naturalized Brazilians should present the positive naturalization certificate. If you have legally changed your name for reasons other than marriage or divorce: Brazilian birth or marriage certificate reflecting the name change. |
c. Photograph · One photo (4x5cm) taken within the last 6 months. The photo should be taken facing forward, with a white background. · The face and shoulders should be completely framed by the camera, and the applicant should look directly at the camera. · There should be neither reflections nor shadows in any part pf the photograph |
d. Proof of voter status · Electoral Certificate, which can be obtained from the website of the Superior Electoral Court. · Proof of attendance or justification for the last two elections (remember that each round is considered a separate election in elections with two rounds). · Voter registration card, accompanied by confirmation of voter status on the website of the Superior Electoral Court. · If you are 18 years old or older and do not yet have a voter registration card, it is necessary to apply for one before applying for a passport. e. Original military document · Applies only for male applicants between 18 and 45 years old. |
f. Lebanese identity document · Original and copy of a Lebanese identity document (ID or Individual Civil Register), with official translation to Portuguese, English or Spanish. |
g. Receipt of Application Submission (RER) · Fill out the RER form. Click here to access the form.

2nd Step: Submit the documentation in the e-consular website. |
In the e-consular system, submit the documentation for analysis. |
3rd Step: Go to the consular section on the scheduled date |
Please visit the consular section on the scheduled date with the original documents and copies. |
The consular section is open from Monday to Friday (excluding holidays) by prior appointment for all consular services. |
Important: Before visiting the consular section, and to avoid unnecessary travel, we recommend that you check the homepage of this website for information on any extraordinary closures or regularly observed festive dates. |
4th Step: Pay the consular fee |
The passport fee is paid at BLF Bank in US dollars (USD) as the bank does not convert Lebanese pounds (LBP) to USD. |
Passport fees: · Regular Passport for Adults (over 18 years of age): USD 120.00 (one hundred and twenty US dollars). |
Passport validity | |
Passport with a maximum validity of 10 years: |
Applicable only to individuals over 18 years of age. |
Passport with a validity of 4 years: |
when the current valid passport is not presented. |
In subsequent occasions when the previous passport is not presenteed; |
the validity will be further reduced to 2 years, 1 year and, finally, 7 months. |
