Technical Assistant – Veterinary

 .

The Embassy of Brazil in Bangkok is seeking a suitable candidate for the position of Technical Assistant (Veterinary) for the Agricultural Attaché.

. 

Qualification Requirement:

 .

-          Thai nationality or permanent work visa for Thailand

-          Education: Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary

-          Experience: A minimum of three years of progressively responsible work experience in one or more fields of agricultural economics, policy, commodity or livestock trade, project management, or marketing analysis/research, with a focus on significant analysis and report writing.

-          Language: Advanced proficiency in English (speaking, reading, and writing).

-          Knowledge: Specialized knowledge of sanitary and phytosanitary (SPS) measures and legislation, agricultural practices, market conditions, agricultural trade policies, and government policies in the host country.

-          Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

-          Strong skills in management, organization, research, and analysis.

-          Familiarity with general marketing strategies.

-          Capable of drafting detailed, complex reports on SPS, markets, and trade policy as needed.

-          Excellent time management skills to handle a diverse workload and meet deadlines.

-          Experience in the field of foreign trade, especially in commodities, livestock, and livestock products, will be highly regarded.

Technical Assistant (Veterinary) - Duties and Responsibilities

 .

-          Represent the Agricultural Attaché office and the Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAPA) in Thailand, Laos, and Cambodia.

-          Facilitate connections between the Brazilian government and counterparts in Thailand, Laos, and Cambodia.

-          Review, analyze, and compile reports, analytical documents, and research in SPS (sanitary and phytosanitary), market developments, trade policies, technical cooperation and investment’s opportunities.

-          Foster relationships between Brazilian exporters and importers in the host countries.

-          Identify marketing practices to enhance trade opportunities and address market access challenges affecting Brazilian agricultural products.

-          Cultivate and sustain a diverse network of industry and government contacts (working-to-mid levels) to secure cooperation on substantive agricultural matters.

-          Implement and assess various planned projects and activities, including marketing and trade promotion.
