WORK VISA (VITEM V)
Foreigners traveling to Brazil under an employment contract must obtain a temporary work visa (VITEM V). This visa is also required for activities such as professional internships, technical assistance, technology transfer, maritime work (for stays exceeding 90 days), and representation of financial institutions, multinational corporations, or non-profit organizations.
Work visa applications must be submitted by employers in Brazil and will only be granted after approval by the Brazilian Ministry of Justice and Public Security.

If your employer’s request is approved, the Ministry of Justice will forward the authorization to the consular section of the Embassy of Brazil in Baku.
Once your work visa is authorized, gather all required documents (see the list below) and schedule an appointment to apply for the VITEM V visa.
Within 90 days of entry in Brazil, holders of a VITEM V must register with the Federal Police and submit a copy of the visa application form provided by the consular section.
VERY IMPORTANT
- ALL REQUIRED DOCUMENTS, INCLUDING THE PHOTO AND SIGNATURE SUBMITTED IN THE FORM (RER), MUST BE UPLOADED TO THE APPLICATION FORM ONLINE BEFORE THE APPLICATION DATE.
- DOCUMENT TITLES MUST BE CLEAR AND ACCURATELY REFLECT THEIR CONTENTS (e.g., "HOTEL BOOKING," "AIRLINE TICKET," "EMPLOYMENT CERTIFICATE").
- ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS AND COPIES MUST BE PRESENTED AT THE TIME OF APPLICATION.
- TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT, SEND A SCREENSHOT OF THE ONLINE APPLICATION PAGE SHOWING THE LIST OF UPLOADED DOCUMENTS.
- ONCE WE RECEIVE THIS INFORMATION VIA EMAIL, YOU CAN REQUEST AN APPOINTMENT BY EMAIL, AND WE WILL PROCEED WITH SCHEDULING IT.
AFTER RECEIVING ALL DOCUMENTS, PLEASE ALLOW AT LEAST 10 WORKING DAYS FOR PROCESSING

Requirements
Pre-authorization of residence approved by the Brazilian Ministry of Justice and Public Security.
- Visa Request Form Receipt (RER): Completed, dated, and signed by the applicant, with a photo attached. Form link:

- Passport: Valid for at least six months from the expected date of arrival in Brazil and with at least two blank pages.
- Photograph: One 3.5 x 4.5 cm photo taken within the last six months, with a white background, affixed to the application form.
- Valid original Police Criminal record: Issued by the applicant’s country of nationality, translated to English and apostilled.
- Original birth certificate, and if married, marriage certificate.
- Flight Reservation: Proof of means of transportation to entry Brazil;
- Visa Fee: A fee of 190 AZN must be deposited or transferred to:

Observations:
The Consular Authority may require further documentation or information as deemed necessary before issuing a visa.
A visa will be denied to any foreign citizen who behaves aggressively, insultingly, or disrespectfully during the application process.
